St. Louis, MO – The latest victim of car theft in St. Louis City is the top Democrat in the Missouri Senate.
Ken Jacob told the Post-Dispatch he had just walked into the WS Hotel on Washington last Thursday to register when his car was stolen. He says it happened in just minutes, noting he he still had his keys in his hands.
The Columbia Democrat was at the hotel for a fund raiser for his campaign for Lieutenant Governor. He says the 2002 Lincoln was the first really nice car he's ever owned.
Thieves also made off with blood pressure medication, a framed print of the Capitol and a white leather cowboy hat he'd just been given as a gift.
