St. Louis, MO – The St. Louis-based cable company Charter Communications named a new chief financial officer Monday morning.
Michael Huseby will be in charge of the company's accounting, financial reporting and planning, and information technology. He'll report directly to CEO Carl Vogel.
He'll take over for Steve Schumm, who became interim CFO at Charter in December 2002.
Charter is the nation's third-largest broadband communications company. It provides services including cable television on an advanced digital video programming platform via Charter Digital and Charter High-Speed Internet Service. In July, former chief financial officer Kent Kalkwarf appeared in court; he was one of four executives accused in a scheme to defraud investors by inflating revenue, cash flow and subscribers for the St. Louis-based cable TV company.
