St. Louis, MO – More details are expected from Missouri Governor Bob Holden today about an agreement reached last week with Ford.
Ford's union workers will vote on a new four-year contract this week; that contract includes a clause that keeps the carmaker's factory in Hazelwood open.
State and local governments are also part of the deal; they're expected to offer job training and tax credits, including property tax abatement. Ford is expected to agree to upgrade the plant.
More than 2,500 people work at the factory.
