The St Louis Gateway Postcard Club is proud to host its 48th annual postcard show and sale will be held on Friday, Aug 30 from 10 am to 5 pm and Saturday Aug 31 from 9 am to 4 pm at the Caseyville IL community center, 909 S. Main Street.  Seventeen dealers from nine states will bring at least a million picture postcards published between 1893 and the 1960s for beginning and advanced collectors.  This is the only postcard show in Illinois outside of Chicago.  Admission is free to encourage people to attend.  Collectors will have a rare opportunity for searching for postcards for their collection and people who want to learn more about the hobby will have the chance to peruse boxes of cards and to talk to dealers and collectors about the fun of collecting postcards.  Food will be available at the hall for purchase for lunches on both days.   A postcard member will also be available to give free appraisals for postcards that people might have inherited or acquired.
