Brewer, Martin To Debut Work At 9/11 Commemoration

Soprano Christine Brewer, jazz pianist Peter Martin and jazz vocalist Denise Thimes will perform Sunday with ensembles from various faith communities in an annual 9/11 commemoration concert.

Brewer and members of the St. Louis Symphony will debut a work by Martin that was commissioned for the concert. David Greenhaw, president of Eden Theological Seminary in Webster Groves, will deliver the keynote address.

Faith groups include Greek Orthodox choirs, Muslim-Bosnian and Hindu ensembles, a gospel choir from Rosati-Kain Catholic High School, a Mormon youth chorus, a Baha'i ensemble, Rabbi Amy Feder of Temple Israel, and Chief Scott Bighorse and Osage Nation singers.
