Hospitals in St. Louis that treated some of the more seriously injured survivors of the double-decker Megabus crash in Illinois are reporting on the patients' conditions.
Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis is treating two patients. Hospital spokeswoman Anne Bassett says one is in serious condition and the other is in fair condition.
St. Louis University Hospital is treating a 24-year-old man, who's in serious condition.
At least 38 people - nearly half of those on the bus that crashed - were taken to hospitals and at least five of those were transported by helicopter.
University of Missouri student Aditi Avhad of Mumbai, India, was killed in the Thursday afternoon crash near Litchfield, about 55 miles northeast of St. Louis.

KMOV's Laura Hettiger reports that I-55 north and south have now reopened following the crash.

KMOV reports there is one confirmed fatality in today's crash, and 30 reported injured.

A double-decker Megabus is badly damaged after striking a pillar along Interstate 55 in southern Illinois while en route from Chicago to Kansas City.
The interstate is shut down in both directions.
The wreck happened Thursday afternoon near Litchfield. The Associated Press says it wasn't immediately clear if anyone was hurt but medical helicopters were en route to the accident scene. Media reports said the front of the bus was extensively damaged.
NBC Chicago reports that there were 81 passengers booked on the bus.
KSDK reports more details about possible injuries:
St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield, Illinois said they have received nine patients from the crash and additional ambulances are enroute. Memorial Hospital in Illinois has received two patients and they are expecting three more patients.
Tweets about the crash are being posted using the #megabuscrash hashtag.
Litchfield is about 55 miles northeast of St. Louis. The bus was scheduled to make stops in St. Louis and Columbia, Mo. before its planned destination in Kansas City.
