St. Louis – A MetroLink train derailed Monday morning after a power pole fell on the tracks. Metro says no one but the operator was aboard, and no one was injured.
Spokeswoman Diane Williams said the accident happened around 6 a.m. just east of the Grand Avenue station.
Williams said the light rail system is back up and running again in both directions, but commuters should expect delays because track switches are being operated manually.
Crews removed the derailed train within two hours. Metro buses took passengers between the Forest Park and Civic Center stops while workers were on the tracks.
