St. Louis, MO – Presidential candidate Mitt Romney is in St. Louis today to raise money and meet with supporters.

The Republican former Governor of Massachusetts has visited Missouri six times this year and he says the state is very important in terms of financial and voter support.

Romney says he'll try to be visible in Missouri ahead of February's primary election, "Given the fact that there are 22 states on February 5th, that means we're going to be active all over the country. But Missouri's a big state and I've got great support here and it's important for me to try to solidify that base and turn it into a key primary win."

Romney's campaign announced a so-called leadership team today to help organize grassroots efforts in Missouri. It includes nine state legislators who join Missouri Governor Matt Blunt, Missouri House Speaker Rod Jetton and former Senator Jim Talent in supporting Romney's bid for the White House.
