St. Louis, MO – Councilman John Gieseke and Mayor Patti York were the top two vote getters in yesterday's election for St. Charles Mayor, which means those two will face off in the April election.
The odd woman out was former mayor Grace Nichols, who finished in third place by just a couple hundred votes. Nichols previously was mayor from 1987-1995.
Also Tuesday, voters in the Washington, Mo. School District overwhelmingly approved a tax question that will raise their property taxes. The extra money will be used for general costs.
And Keith English won a three-way race to fill a council seat in Florissant.
