Lonedell, MO – The National Guard is no longer assisting, but the search continues for clues into Friday's kidnapping of a 10-day old baby in Lonedell, Mo. (Lonedell is about 45 miles southwest of St. Louis.)
That's where Abby Woods was taken Friday from her home. The child's mother, Stephanie Ochsenbine, was stabbed and her throat slashed. She was released from the hospital Sunday.
Authorities say they have found a knife and other evidence near the home, but a search for more clues was called off because of rain Sunday. The search this weekend has included search dogs, FBI agents, and even members of the Missouri National Guard.
Police say they'll soon release a sketch of the woman who took the baby. That woman is believed to be armed.
There also was a prayer service yesterday in Lonedell for Abby.
