Caruthersville, MO – Missouri Governor Matt Blunt will tour the Bootheel town of Caruthersville today (Monday) to get an update on rebuilding and repair of the town that was heavily damaged this month.

An F-3 tornado ripped through Caruthersville April second. No one was killed but about half of the town's buildings were damaged or destroyed.

Caruthersville is the seat of Pemiscot County, which has received federal disaster declaration. That will make residents eligible for loans and grants to pay for clean up and repairs.
