St. Louis, MO – The Mike Martz era is over in St. Louis. The Rams head coach has been fired, according to a statement from the team.

An afternoon press conference is planned.

Martz led the Rams to four playoff appearances and one Super Bowl appearance in his six years as head coach. He sat out most of this season while battling a heart ailment; the Rams ended their season on Sunday night with a 20-10 win in Dallas, to finish 6-10.
