St. Louis, MO – There was a train derailment Monday afternoon near Interstate 55 in Jefferson County.
About 15 cars derailed and fell into a stopped train on an adjacent set of tracks.
A spokesman for the Burlington Northern railroad says there were no injuries or fatalities or any hazardous materials involved.
The train was carrying new vehicles from Birmingham, Alabama to Chicago.
