St. Louis – Strikers from the Lohr distributing company rallied Wednesday outside Anheuser-Busch Headquarters.
Teamsters Local 600 president Dan McKay says the contract proposal would double the amount of beer drivers would have to haul for the same wage they make today.
McKay says healthcare is also an issue.
"We've already agreed to a $500 deductible to where as now we don't have any," McKay said. "But we're not going to agree to if they want to charge us $200 a week, you know that's not right. We feel we will go up to a cap of a certain percentage and at that fact, you know, we don't have a problem with it."
Other union groups showed support for striking Lohr workers at the rally.
Lohr officials are declining comment.
