St. Peters, MO – Adolphus Busch IV is suing the city of St. Peters.
He wants to stop the city from selling bonds that would raise cash to build a levee in a flood plain along Highway 370.
Busch, a member of the Busch brewing family owns land in St. Peters. He heads an alliance that was created in response to a St. Peters plan to build the levee and develop a business park.
The alliance says they want to preserve the flood plain for conservation.
St. Peters aldermen recently voted unanimously to issue the bonds. They also need an Army Corps of Engineers permit before proceeding.
