St. Louis, MO – At a suburban St. Louis hotel, Mrs. Bush spoke about her husband's plans to institute permanent tax relief and strengthen education.
The First Lady also touched on issues of particular importance to women. She called for medical liability reform, noting that obstetricians face some of the highest malpractice insurance premiums in the industry:
"Women who've spent years building a trusting relationship with their OB-GYN are left searching for a new doctor sometimes while they wait for the arrival of a new baby," Mrs. Bush said. "We need medical liability reform.
Mrs. Bush's appearance in Missouri is part of the Bush campaign strategy to court the female vote in a key swing state.
