St. Louis – A former ammunition plant in St. Louis will undergo environmental clean up.
Officials said yesterday that the EPA is providing money for environmental work at the old Army Ammunition Plant near Interstate 70.
St. Louis hopes to attract a developer to the site, possibly for a shopping center.
More than $1.3 million will help with the environmental work there and at some other sites around the city.
The money will also be used to clean up some former industrial and commercial sites in St. Louis that are polluted.
