Jefferson City, MO – Republican legislative leaders say legalizing concealed weapons in Missouri will be their top priority in the legislature's veto session that begins Wednesday.
Representative Larry Crawford, who sponsors the bill, says he's confident that he has the support to override the Governor's veto of the controversial legislation.
"It's important to let citizens to be able to defend themselves outside their homes should they choose," Crawford said.
Opponents of the override say a greater emphasis should be placed on gun safety rather than increasing the availability of weapons.
