St. Louis, MO – The head of St. Louis' FBI office is especially satisfied with the weekend capture of suspected bomber Eric Rudolph.
Tom Bush was slightly injured by one of the bombs Rudolph is accused of detonating at an abortion clinic in Atlanta in 1997. At that time, Bush was second in charge of Atlanta's FBI office.
The blast briefly left Bush deaf in one ear. Bush says it could have been much worse if there hadn't been two cars between him and the bomb just 20 feet away.
Rudolph was arrested Saturday in North Carolina after several years on the run. He's also suspected in blasts in Atlanta during the 1996 summer Olympics, a 1997 bombing outside a gay Atlanta nightclub, and a 1998 bombing at an abortion clinic in Birmingham, Alabama.
