St. Louis, MO – Only one tram will take visitors to the top of the Gateway for the next two months. That's because officials want to replace all nine cables that take the other one up.
The south tram where a cable broke Saturday night, hit an electrified wire, and knocked power out for a few hours.
A few hundred people were trapped inside during the outage, including six teens from a church group in Ohio who returned home Monday night to family and friends that had made T-shirts reading "I survived being trapped in the tram."
