St. Louis, MO – Scouts in the St. Louis area collected nearly 2,000,000 cans of food during this year's Scouting for Food drive.
More than 40,000 Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts on both sides of the river collected bags of cans on porches this weekend.
It's the largest single-day food collection in the country, with nearly 500 food pantries in the region set to benefit from the drive.
This was the 21st year for the effort.
