St. Louis, MO – The National Labor Relations Board says members of a local Teamsters union broke federal law earlier this year when they picketed Anheuser-Busch headquarters.
The union is now in its fifth month of a strike against Lohr Distributing. Lohr is the company that gets the beer to stores, restaurants, and bars in St. Louis City.
But the NLRB says the teamsters were wrong to gather outside A-B headquarters with signs telling people to boycott Budweiser. That's because the strike isn't directly against A-B.
The Teamsters say workers would quit such activity if it is illegal.
