William Villalongo and Shraddha Ramani | Public Lecture Series at WashU’s Sam Fox School

William Villalongo and Shraddha Ramani | Public Lecture Series at WashU’s Sam Fox School

Join the Sam Fox School at Washington University in St. Louis October 24 for a free public lecture from artist William Villalongo and data scientist Shraddha Ramani.

Over the past several years, Villalongo and Ramani have developed “Printing Black America: W.E.B. Du Bois’s Data Portraits in the 21st Century,” a collaborative print portfolio that considers the legacy of Du Bois’ ground-breaking sociological research into the lives of Black Americans in the early 20th century — and projects those insights forward into the 21st.

Lecture will be in Steinberg Hall. Free parking available in the East End Garage beginning at 5:00 p.m. Enter the garage from Forsyth Boulevard or Forest Park Parkway.

This lecture is the Arthur and Sheila Prensky Island Press Visiting Artist Lecture, part of the Public Lecture Series hosted by the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts at Washington University in St. Louis.
