The 12th Annual Peterson Photography Lecture Series - St. Louis Camera Club: 111 Years of Excellence and Innovation
The 12th Annual Peterson Photography Lecture Series will be held on Thursday, Sept. 18, 2025, and feature an exhibition and lecture by the St. Louis Camera Club: 111 Years of Excellence and Innovation.
The St. Louis Camera Club has been a creative home for photographers for decades, evolving alongside the art itself, from the days of film to the limitless possibilities of digital photography.
The club welcomes photographers of all experience levels, from curious beginners to seasoned professionals. The club fosters connection, creativity, and continuous growth through hands-on workshops, constructive critiques, photo sharing, and regular competitions. Many members go on to exhibit and sell their work.
This exhibit highlights the remarkable diversity of our members’ talents, showcasing images that span landscapes, architecture, nature, wildlife, street scenes, abstract compositions, portraits, travel photography, and the night sky. Images from over 50 members will be displayed.
Featured lecture panelists include Bruce Backus, Madi Hawn, Donna Parrone, Cindy Lynch and Ingrid Borecki. Artists in Residence are Jeff Hirsch and Jorge Restrepo.
The exhibit will run Aug. 28-Sept. 25 and is open to the public M-Th from Noon to 4pm. The reception and lecture are on Sept. 18 from 5 to 9pm. All are free and open to the public, but if attending the reception and lecture, we ask you RSVP through the link found on https://stlcc.edu/about/foundation/lecture-series/.
