Easterseals Midwest Virtual Autism Conference

The Easterseals Midwest Virtual Autism Conference will run from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM on November 3 and 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM on November 4. Each day is comprised of one or two keynote speakers and several breakout sessions.

Thursday opens with keynote speaker, attorney, and neurodiversity expert Haley Moss. Keynote speaker Jonathan Martinis, Senior Director for Law and Policy at Syracuse University, wraps up the day by presenting “Supported Decision-Making: From Justice for Jenny to Justice for All.”
Friday closes with keynote speaker Patti Vasquez, of the Patti Vasquez Show, presenting “All the Rage – Finding Happiness and Humor after Heartache.”

The remainder of each morning is made up of breakout sessions participants can choose from, including: “What to do when you get a Poorly Written IEP;” “What to Expect after an Autism Diagnosis;” “Supporting Social Engagement in Early Childhood;” “An Inside Look into Music Therapy, Why it Works, and How Music can be used as a Tool to Reach Individuals with Autism;” “Helping Children of All Ages with Emotion Regulation Using the SCERTS Model;” and “Circling Up: Parenting Support Groups.”
