We continue our live broadcasts of the St. Louis Symphony's 2014-2015 season this weekend, and you can be right there with us from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, April 25.
On select Saturday evenings, St. Louis Public Radio broadcasts the Symphony's performance over the air, bringing you a live classical music experience wherever you are.
Here's what's planned for you this weekend:
ELGAR Introduction and Allegro
GLANERT Frenesia
BRAHMS Piano Concerto No. 2
The works will feature:
David Robertson, conductor
Emanuel Ax, piano (@emanuelax on Twitter)
Emily Ho, violin
Nicolae Bica, violin
Morris Jacob, viola
Anne Fagerburg, cello
Please note: If you are listening to the broadcast online, after the final interview at intermission, St. Louis Public Radio will not be able to continue the streaming of tonight’s program for the second half of the concert at the request of the guest pianist. However, our radio broadcast will continue on 90.7 FM.
Happy listening at 90.7 FM on air or online here. You can also follow along on Twitter using the hashtag #slsoLIVE to chat about the broadcast as it is happening and talk with other Symphony broadcast listeners before and after the performance. You can follow along with the broadcast yourself with this version of the same program symphony-goers have in the seats at Powell Hall.
During the intermission, we will interview St. Louis Symphony Music Director David Robertson, composer Detlev Glanert, cellist Anne Fagerburg, and violist Morris Jacob.
