St. Louis Public Radio’s penchant for public speaking isn’t reserved for our on-air staff. Front Office and Corporate Accounts Assistant Marquetta Anderson, a three-year employee of the station, has won several Toastmaster competitions with a seven-minute motivational speech.
Toastmasters International is an organization that teaches effective communication and leadership skills to hundreds of thousands of people worldwide.
Marquetta won the Triton Toastmasters Club contest and moved on to the area contest before taking the top honors from the Toastmasters District 8, Division B International Speech Contest. The contest featured the five best motivational speakers from among the 24 Toastmasters Clubs in the Greater St. Louis area of Division B.
Congrats to Marquetta and good luck going forward!
