Missouri Attorney General Chris Koster has raised more than $890,000 for his reelection campaign since January.

Missouri attorney general Chris Koster, a Democrat, reports that he has raised more than $890,000 for his reelection campaign since January.

Koster's campaign reported Wednesday that it now has $2 million raised for Koster's campaign. Campaigns must report their fundraising activities over the last three months by Monday.

Koster's campaign officials say the strong fundraising shows he has momentum going into the final campaign.

"We are heartened by such a strong and generous showing this quarter," Koster's campaign manager Rachel Levine said. "The people of Missouri want an Attorney General who is a prosecutor, not a politician and that is why they are enthusiastically throwing their support behind Chris Koster."

Ed Martin, an aide to former governor Matt Blunt, and Livingston County prosecutor Adam Warren are competing in the August Republican primary for the chance to go against Koster.
