Belleville, Ill. – A woman accused of cutting a fetus out of her friend's womb will spend the rest of her life in prison after pleading guilty to killing the woman, the fetus and the victim's three children.
The plea deal was announced at a court hearing Monday for 26-year-old Tiffany Hall. She will face life in prison without the possibility of parole.
St. Clair County State's Attorney Robert Haida said prosecutors agreed not to seek the death penalty in exchange for the guilty plea.
The killings happened in 2006. Authorities say Hall struck Jimella Tunstall on the head with a table leg and cut the fetus from her womb.
Tunstall's three young children were found dead in the washing machine and dryer of their East St. Louis apartment.
Tunstall's stepmother LaDonna Tunstall says the family forgives Hall.
