Jefferson City, MO – Retired game show host Bob Barker is the newest member of the Hall of Famous Missourians.
Hundreds of people filled the Capitol Rotunda in Jefferson City to get a glimpse of the retired "Price is Right" host.
A bust of Barker was unveiled as part of the ceremony. He told the crowd just before the unveiling that he couldn't wait to see it.
"I'm hoping that I'm cute...that's what I'm hoping. I hope I don't look like I do now...I want to look like I did 50 years ago," Barker said.
Barker was happy with the results. The bust is now on display on the third floor of the State Capitol.
Barker was born in the state of Washington, but his family eventually moved to Springfield, where he attended high school and college.
He graduated from Drury College, now Drury University, and got his first broadcasting job at radio station KTTS in Springfield.
