CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – A seven-month old goat named Sharon faces eviction after being spray painted and kidnapped this weekend.
Sharon is the mascot for the Sigma Chi raternity at Southeast Missouri State niversity in Cape Girardeau.
Last Friday, someone got inside a security fence at the frat house and spray-painted the goat. Then on Sunday, the fraternity reported Sharon missing. She later turned up unharmed at an animal hospital. No one has been arrested in that case.
But now the fraternity has learned Cape Girardeau has a city ordinance that bans barnyard animals inside city limits. The fraternity has a week to find a new home for the goat.
