St. Louis – History buffs around the St. Louis region are gearing up for a year of celebrating all things Lewis and Clark.
2004 marks the bicentennial of the pair's famous expedition, and all year long there will be festivals, re-enactments and special museum displays.
The Gateway Arch is launching an exhibit that focuses on the six months Lewis and Clark spent preparing for their trip.
KWMU's Matt Sepic spoke with National Park Service historian Bob Moore, who says the artifacts on display show there was a lot that had to be done before the Corps of Discovery headed West.
The exhibit is called "Lewis and Clark--Imagining the Expedition from St. Louis." It will be open through early 2005.
