Black Tulip Chorale (STL's LGBTQ+ all-inclusive mixed voice chorus) returns to First Presbyterian Church of Kirkwood with members of the St. Louis Civic Orchestra on Sun, May 8 (5 pm) for a performance celebrating community in a time of a "new normal". Composers include Stephen Sondheim, Greg Gilpin, Andrea Ramsey, with premieres of new works by Greg Dennis (music's healing power) and Victor Johnson (a new piece based on the Ukrainian national anthem). This performance also features Part III of Handel's "Messiah". Financial assistance for this project has been provided by the Missouri Arts Council, a state agency.
