The Great Rivers Environmental Law Center, on behalf of three Missouri organizations, has filed a complaint with the EPA over permits issued by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources. The complaint says the permits allow excessive pollution in predominantly Black and low-income neighborhoods.

Metro Transit announced Tuesday a deal with Minnesota-based New Flyer of America to add 14 zero-emission buses to the city’s fleet. The new buses stretch 60 feet long and come with a price tag of $1.33 million each. Eighty percent of the cost will be covered by grants from the Federal Transit Administration.
