ST. LOUIS – Politicians, business leaders and union members will rally tonight in St. Louis County for more balanced trade policies.
The so-called "Keep it Made in America" town hall meeting is the tenth held by the Alliance for American Manufacturing, a partnership of the United Steelworkers union and several manufacturers.
Alliance executive director Scott Paul says participants will talk about how to revitalize manufacturing in the U-S .and how to "level the playing field" for American workers.
"When other countries are not meeting their obligations, what they signed up for to gain access to our market, they should be held to account and it's not like we want to put up protectionist walls around the country but we do need to fight for our fair share."
Tonight's rally starts at 5 at the Moolah Shrine Center in Creve Couer.
