Clayton, Mo. – A plan to turn Grant's Farm into a national park has received the support of the St. Louis County Council.
The council voted unanimously Tuesday to support a takeover of the site by the National Park Service. However the vote is non-binding.
Grant's Farm is owned by the Busch family and has long been a popular attraction that features a variety of animals.
Congress would have to approve converting the property to a national park.
