St. Louis – There is no shortage of when it comes to explaining the reasons behind the economic recession, and what it will take to recover.
One such voice recognizable to public radio listeners is former Labor Secretary Robert Reich, a frequent commentator Marketplace. Reich will appear in St. Louis tonight (Jan. 19) as part of Maryville University's St. Louis Speakers Series.
He discussed the state of the Midwest economy with St. Louis Public Radio's Bill Raack, saying that the region's recovery from the recession will be slower than average.
