St. Louis, MO – Juan Bermudez has a new Kindle after all.

The University of Missouri-St. Louis and the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of St. Louis gave Bermudez, 29, the electronic reading tablet at a ceremony at the school today.

The UMSL math major had purchased a Kindle on-line earlier this year. Bermudez discovered that the Kindle had been stolen from Missouri state auditor Susan Montee's car while it was parked in Forest Park. Bermudez turned it over to the police.

UMSL and Hispanic Chamber officials said today that they wanted to reward Bermudez for "doing the right thing." Montee was also on hand at today's ceremony to thank Bermudez in person.
