Bond says it's time for strict sanctions against Iran

St. Louis, MO – U.S. Senator Kit Bond of Missouri says news this weekend proves that the time for talks, inspections and agreements with Iran is over.
On Sunday, Iran successfully test-fired short-range missiles. That came just two days after Western countries disclosed that Iran had been secretly developing a previously unknown underground uranium enrichment facility.
Bond, the vice-chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, says it's a "poke in the eye" to those who think negotiations are an option.
"We have to have sanctions, and we have to have strong sanctions, economic sanctions, that can force either a regime change or the Ayatollahs to change their policy."
Senator Bond made his comments on the Fox News Sunday program.
The U.S. and its allies will meet with Iranian leaders on Thursday to discuss Iran's nuclear program.
