St. Louis – Firefighters will be conducting training exercises near Lambert Airport in St. Louis this week.
Airport firefighters say the work will involve the use of live burns as part of their drills, which run from Monday to Wednesday. The training will happen at a secured site near the
airfield.
The training will use a 50-foot airplane fuselage capable of producing simulated fires. It's being provided by the University of Missouri Fire and Rescue Training Institute, which conducts more than a dozen firefighting courses annually.
