Jefferson City, Mo. – As professional bicyclists race across Missouri this week, many are breathing a sigh of relief after the Tour of Missouri's near cancellation two months ago.
The initial decision to withhold state funding and the reversal that followed days later puts a spotlight on the tense political relationship between Democratic Governor Jay Nixon and Republican Lt. Governor Peter Kinder.
