Centreville, Ill. – The Major Case Squad is investigating the death of a police officer who was shot in the Metro East community of Centreville.
St. Clair County Coroner Rick Stone said Greg Jonas, 58, died early Tuesday after being shot once in the back of the head outside a public housing complex.
His body was found on the street near his cruiser. No arrests have been made.
