St. Louis – A former St. Louis County police officer has been sentenced to a year of supervised probation for pulling a gun on a parking lot attendant on St. Patrick's Day 2008.
Ryan O'Connor was convicted last month of misdemeanor third-degree assault stemming from the incident at the St. Patrick's Day parade in St. Louis.
With his family in the car, O'Connor parked in Al Ousseynou Ba's lot, in a spot that was off limits.
When Ba confronted O'Connor, the officer told Ba he was a policeman, swore at him and pulled out his gun.
O'Connor resigned after he was convicted. At sentencing Friday, O'Connor was also ordered to enroll in anger management classes.
