DOVER AIR FORCE BASE, Del. – A soldier from St. Louis was killed along with four others in Mosul, Iraq on Friday when a suicide car bomber struck their military vehicle.
Sgt. Edward W. Forrest Jr. was 25 years old.
The attack was the deadliest against U.S. troops in more than a year.
The soldiers' remains arrived at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware Sunday.
The ceremony marked the fourth time the media have been allowed to cover the transfer of soldiers' remains since the Pentagon changed its coverage policy.
The media may photograph the flag-draped caskets of fallen service members if their families approve.
