St. Louis, MO – A new urgent care facility in downtown St. Louis opened its doors Monday.
The Downtown Urgent Care Facility at 10th and Olive is designed to provide basic medical care, but is also equipped to handle more serious emergency cases. "We are kind of like a walk-in clinic meets an emergency room," said Tisha Walters, the facility's director. "There isn't a downtown facility for people to come to if they have a common cold, or they want to be swabbed for strep. It's kind of like your doctor's office when you're away from home, if you just need to come in while you're at work."
Ninety thousand people work downtown - another 10,000 call it home. The clinic will be open every day but Sunday.
