St. Louis, MO – A 22-year-old St. Louis man faces assault, burglary, and robbery charges in connection with the shooting of an off-duty firefighter.
Terrence Hendricks was arrested Wednesday along with a second man in the shooting of Firefighter Ernest Strong. Police questioned and released the second man - they are still looking for two additional suspects.
Strong was shot four times when he interrupted a burglary at his home on Beach Street. He remains in critical but stable condition. He's a 10-year veteran of the force, and was assigned to Lambert Airport.
