Jefferson City, MO – Election officials in Missouri are preparing for tomorrow's party primaries.
Voters will be choosing nominees for governor, cabinet offices, State House and Senate, various judgeships, and Congress.
Secretary of State Robin Carnahan reminds citizens to bring some form of identification.
"In Missouri, you can use either a photo-type I.D. of any sort, whether it (is) a college I.D. or a driver's or a non-driver's license, or passport, but you can also use non-photo (identification), and that includes your voter card, some kind of a utility bill or bank statement or government document that is sent to your home address," Carnahan said.
Carnahan expects voter turnout tomorrow to only be around 30%.
She also says they'll be on guard against voter fraud.
"We work at that every election, and it's important that we do, but we also want to make sure that those who are eligible, legitimate voters, are able to vote without any problems," Carnahan said.
Polls open at 6:AM and close at 7:PM.
Carnahan says mid-morning or mid-afternoon are the least busy times of day to vote.
