Man arrested in street shooting of 80 year old

By AP/KWMU

St. Louis, MO. – Police say they have arrested a 22-year-old man in the killing of an 80-year-old woman in a gang-related drive-by shooting last week.

Officials say Julia Steele was an innocent bystander who got caught in the crossfire.

An investigation led to the arrest of Terrance Wren, who faces eight felony counts including first-degree murder, assault and unlawful use of a weapon.

Police Chief Joe Mokwa says Wren is a known gang member. He was targeting two other men in the shooting, which was retaliation for an earlier incident.
