St. Louis, MO. – Pinnacle Entertainment's new casino Lumiere Place opens Wednesday night.
The 75,000 foot gaming floor includes two-thousand slot machines, 45 table games, and a poker room.
But Pinnacle is billing the casino as an entertainment district.
Spokesman Mack Bradley says with Lumiere's four upscale restaurants, it's a draw for non-gamblers as well.
"We're going after both gamblers and non-gamblers," he said. "We want people who just want to have a great time. Whatever it means to you to have a great time, you can come here and do that."
Construction on the $500 million project began in September 2005.
Pinnacle says it will permanently employ 1,000 people.
