Ferguson, Mo. – Authorities are trying to figure out why part of a convenience store parking lot collapsed.
It happened around 9 p.m. Monday at the Convenient Food Mart in Ferguson.
Witnesses say a woman got into her car and shut the door before the vehicle fell into the hole. A second car went in with it.
No one was seriously hurt, but the woman was trapped for about 30 minutes.
The collapse happened above a sewer line, and Metropolitan Sewer District officials are investigating.
The hole was at least eight feet deep, about 15 feet long and 40 feet wide.
